In truth it doesn’t matter whether we are cleaning a sports centre or shared offices, a private home or barristers’ chambers; wherever we clean our teams know that we expect them to uphold the high standards which are a part of the Cleaner London ethos.  This is particularly important when carrying out in depth cleans such as spring cleaning which, no matter how carefully planned, inevitably results in a level of disruption.  However, that we were asked to clean in Chambers means that the professionalism which we bring to every cleaning task has been recognised by an organisation for which probity is a watchword.

It is a tribute to our ancestral instincts that, despite today’s “always on” world where seasonality has all but disappeared, the spring clean remains.  As soon as daylight hours begin to lengthen and the sun’s rays send out a hint of warmth, our thoughts turn towards refreshing and renewing, towards cleanliness and a fresh start.

Just as there is no one typical business, so there is no one typical spring clean.  Each and every home and business clean is individually designed to suit the specific needs of the client.  However, Cleaner London recommends that an in depth spring clean should include a full steam clean of bathrooms and kitchens including cupboards and white goods, a steam clean of carpets and curtains as appropriate, a full dust and polish of all woodwork and mirrors and a careful cleaning of ceiling and wall decorations.  This in depth clean will not only remove dust, dirt and grease, it will also kill dust mites and lift ground-in dirt, leaving premises smelling clean and fresh. 

One of the strengths of the human race is that we are adaptable and change our behaviours to match our surroundings.  This means that after a while we tend not to notice the dust in the atmosphere around us.  However, studies have shown that our working patterns change based on the cleanliness of our workplace so dusty premises can mean less care and attention to detail.  A good spring clean not only energises the atmosphere it can reinvigorate working habits, enabling us to shake of the sloth of winter and burst forth into the new spring world with promise and energy.
