Construction work in office spaces is happening country-wide at the moment. As the recession prevents companies from buying new premises, more are choosing to extend and renovate their current offices.
Obviously, the recession means that stopping work while the refurbishment, extension or renovations are done is not an option, so your employees – and you – are surrounded by builders’ noise and dust for weeks.
Of course the construction team will go to all extents to make sure they keep dust to a minimum, but some of it always creeps through. And while your daily cleaners do an admirable job keeping on top of it, when the day finally arrives for the builders to leave, getting a specialist after-builders clean-up crew in will give your ‘new’ premises the sparkling clean it deserves before you throw open your doors to your long-suffering employees and impressed new and old customers.
Opening offices after refurbishment gives you a great opportunity for publicity, so making sure that every surface gleams is definitely in your interest. With all the plastic pulled down by the builders as they left, you are probably left with a great looking office – covered in a layer of dust with bits of debris in the corner.
A specialist after-builders clean-up team will move in and clean your office from ceiling to floor, missing nothing, and make sure that when you do throw those doors open your new office space will be greeted by oohs and ahhhs, and a customer or journalist dragging a white glove disapprovingly over the reception desk.
Unlike your cleaners’ chores of dusting, vacuuming and polishing, the after-builders clean-up remove all the stickers and labels found on the new mirrors and stainless steel as well as on any new units. In their hurry to leave, the builders may have left tears of plastic, all which be removed by the clean-up team.
Rogue splashes of plaster and paint will be removed, and every surface will be polished or wiped to remove that builders’ residue that builds up during the renovations. The easiest areas to miss are those that you don’t see: the corners of the top of the wall, above the light fittings, the tops of the cabinets, but they all need to be cleaned thoroughly to ensure your office is both impressive to look at and safe and healthy to work in.
Not one part of your office and support areas will be left untouched by a specialist after-builders clean-up crew, so when both builders and cleaners are finished you really will feel as if you have moved into grand, swish new offices fit to impress.
